Music Composition Portfolio Requirements

Music Composition (MCLA) applicants must submit a portfolio of their work in order to complete an application. Once you apply to Virginia Tech using the Common App, you will receive a form to share a link to your portfolio. We recommend storing your portfolio in a file repository such as Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, or WeTransfer. Please ensure the folder permissions are set so anyone with the link can view the files. 

Applicants should submit three original compositions or arrangements for instruments or voice. Students should submit PDF scores along with MP3 audio or MP4 video recordings, either of live performances or MIDI realizations.
