Music Engineering Technology (Electrical Engineering Emphasis) Portfolio Requirements

For Fall 2026 internal transfer applicants, students accepted to Music Technology or the College of Engineering only need to submit a statement of interest (300–500 words). Students from other disciplines must submit a portfolio of relevant creative and technical work, along with a statement of interest, to complete their application.

The portfolio should include three examples of work demonstrating the applicant’s experience in music technology, engineering, audio production, coding, electronics, acoustics, interactive media, spatial audio, or related areas.

Applicants may submit links to MP3 audio, MP4 video, software screen captures, code repositories, technical documentation, project reports, circuit diagrams, or other materials that clearly represent their work. Each submission should include a short description of the project, the tools used, and the applicant’s specific role in the work. We recommend storing your portfolio in a file repository such as Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, or WeTransfer. Please ensure the folder permissions are set so anyone with the link can view the files. 

Fall 2027 applicants should need to submit a statement of interest (300–500 words) and a portfolio of relevant creative and technical work to complete their application in addition to a statement of interest.
