The Virginia Tech Linux Laptop Orchestra (L2Ork) Spring 2025 performance features two crowdsourced works, "Interstellar" (commissioned by Alexandria, VA's Office of the Arts and originally premiered in October 2024), and a premiere of the latest work titled CramRadio. All works were devised using L2Ork Tweeter online telematic collaborative music making platform that ensures perfect sync among the parts regardless of the physical distance. All aspects of the two works were co-created by the ensemble members and curated by the L2Ork Director Ivica Ico Bukvic. A 20-30 minute performance will combine Virginia Tech L2Ork and the L2Ork Tweeter International ensemble members, with performers being distributed across half-dozen sites distributed over two continents and over 5,000 miles apart.
