Described as “brilliant” (Opera Today) and “alluringly complex” (Opera News), Ariana Wyatt’s opera engagements include appearances with Gotham Chamber Opera, Opera on the James, Opera Omaha, Opera Roanoke, Glimmerglass Opera, Florida Grand Opera, Santa Fe Opera, the Juilliard Opera Center, and the Aspen Opera Theater. She has directed operas and musical theater productions for Baldwin Wallace Conservatory, Bel Cantanti Opera, the University of Tennessee Knoxville, and Virginia Tech.
Professor Wyatt is a graduate of the Juilliard Opera Center and the University of Southern California. Her 2020 recording Let Evening Come: American Songs Old and New (Albany) was named one of the best classical recordings of 2020 by the Chicago Tribune, and her 2021 recording Rapture and Regret (MSR Classics) was named a “must have” by the American Record Guide. She is passionate about the value of music education and loves her job as a professor of voice and associate dean for outreach and engagement at Virginia Tech.
