Q&A with movie producer and VT alumnus Zak Kristofek

Zak Kristofek (VT Class of 2013, cinema production/studies) is an accomplished leader in film production and development.
Kristofek will speak on his experience in the film world, how he got started, and the steps he took to achieve his goals. He is also interested in answering all questions as well and helping students understand more about finding a career in the film world after graduation. All students interested in film after graduation are welcome to come, as well as anyone who wants to learn a little bit more about the movie world.
Before heading TRACTION’s production and development departments, he contributed significantly to renowned films such as "Wildlife" starring Carey Mulligan and Jake Gyllenhaal, and Paramount’s "Book Club" starring Diane Keaton and Jane Fonda.
Known for his keen eye for compelling scripts and filmmakers, Kristofek has achieved recognition with placements on the industry’s The Black List and The Tracking Board’s Hit List. His recent works include the well-received " A Lot of Nothing" at SXSW and the action-thriller "Red Right Hand" starring Orlando Bloom and Andie MacDowell. Next up will be "The Midnight Pool" directed by James McTeigue ("V for Vendetta").
