The Virginia Tech Honor Choir Festival and Solo Contest takes place annually in the fall in Blacksburg and accepts students by choral directors' and voice instructors’ recommendation. Both students and directors participate in rehearsals/sectionals, clinics,  vocal technique/masterclasses, bodywork and performances with Virginia Tech music faculty and guest clinicians. Students anticipating applying to and attending VT may compete for admittance and scholarship. The weekend culminates with a concert by the Honor Choir and VT Choirs in the Anne and Ellen Fife Theatre in the Moss Arts Center.
