Monday, Sept. 29, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. - Creativity and Innovation District LLC, 185 Kent St. The Galan Trio will perform. The program, entitled "Kinesis," will premiere a new composition by Charles Nichols, a Virginia Tech music professor, enitled “Voces Magicae.” $15 general/$12 senior/$10 student. The School of Performing Arts and the Institute of Creativity, Arts, and Technology present the New Music + Technology Festival, showcasing the ever-broadening field of music technology, focusing on new compositions and performance systems. 

Since its inception in 2021, the New Music + Technology Festival has presented multi- and interdisciplinary performances while furthering research at the nexus of music, theatre, cinema, dance, visual art, creative coding, computer science, neuroscience, molecular biology, robotics, and cyber security.
