Join us for a concert dedicated to the memory of luthier Daniel Foster.

Daniel Foster (1943-2018) was a national award-winning Luthier, whose instruments are played by amateurs and professionals throughout the United States. He and his wife Elizabeth were generous supporters of the Virginia Tech music program and were key partners in developing the Virginia Tech String Project.

The concert will highlight his sextet of violins, violas and cellos donated to the music program. The program will include J.S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto #3, Popper’s Requiem for 3 Cellos and Brahms' Sextet in B Flat Major. Members of the chamber music class of John Irerra and Alan Weinstein will perform, assisted by Richard Masters, piano.

Visitors to the Blacksburg campus Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. will need to display a parking permit, utilize the ParkMobile apppay the daily charge for a pass, or pay for parking using an hourly meter. A range of parking options can be found here.

If you are an individual with a disability and desire an accommodation, please contact Susan Sanders at susansan@vt.edu prior to the event.
