Virginia Tech Choirs

The Virginia Tech Choirs (Chamber Singers, Women’s Chorus, Tech Men) are open to all Virginia Tech students of any major and year. The VT Choirs sing the finest choral repertoire from all time periods and genres. In addition to their own concerts, the VT Choirs regularly combine with the Blacksburg Master Chorale and VT Philharmonic for performances of major works with orchestra.

The VT Choirs will rehearse in person and indoors this year. We will abide by the CDC and ACDA’s recommendations for singing safely as the Covid pandemic recovery continues. We will email updates and requirements.

Audition Information

Have you sung in a Virginia Tech Choir before?

  • All students interested in Chamber Singers (returning or new) must audition.

  • Returning Women’s Chorus and Tech Men members do not need to complete an audition – just register for the class and show up to the first rehearsal (Women’s Chorus on Monday, August 30; Tech Men on Tuesday, August 31).

A Student's Thoughts

"My favorite memory would probably be going to Italy with the Chamber singers the summer after my freshman year." -Travis Whaley, Piano Performance, Composition, and German
