Woodwind Day - March 16, 2024

The Virginia Tech Woodwind Day will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2024 in Blacksburg, VA. This annual event features a VT Woodwind Faculty and Student Recital, and students will participate in masterclasses and chamber music sessions.

This event is free and open to the public. Registration is encouraged.

  • 10:00 am - Welcome/intros/info about VT (Squires Recital Salon)
  • 10:30 am - First break out sessions (TBA)
  • 11:45 am - Large group masterclass, high school performers (3) (Recital Salon)
  • 1:00 pm - Lunch providedl (Squires room 243) 
  • 1:45 pm - Second break out session (TBA)
  • 3:00 pm - Recital: VT faculty and student chamber ensembles (Squires Recital Salon)
  • 4:00 pm - End

Like any college campus, parking at Virginia Tech can be challenging without a plan.  On Saturday and Sunday, all spaces are open without permits and parking is free, but Friday requires some planning. We cannot reimburse or forgive any parking tickets.

Parking for drop-off is the parking meters behind Squires on Alumni Mall

Parking is available at the Chicken Hill parking lot for $8 a day by using the ParkMobile app.
