Flutist Elizabeth Lantz is Associate Professor of Practice in the School of Performing Arts. A versatile performer and educator, she has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician across the United States and internationally, with engagements in Trinidad, South America, Canada, Europe, the Baltics, and South Korea. She regularly presents masterclasses and lecture-recitals, and her recent performances include featured appearances at the International Computer Music Conference (ICMC) in Seoul and the National Flute Association (NFA) Annual Convention in San Antonio. Lantz is a Yamaha Performing Artist.

With over 450 premieres, pianist Shannon Wettstein has performed at Lincoln Center, the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s Green Umbrella Series, the Ft. Worth Modern Art Museum, and Chicago’s Constellation. Steve Smith of the New York Times wrote that her performance at The Stone was “full of subtleties no recording could catch...a reminder of why we attend concerts.” Shannon has been a professor of piano at Michigan State University, St. Cloud State University, Augsburg University, and Bemidji State University. With performances on four continents, she is a clinician, lecturer, coach, and the host of Dr. Avant-Garde, a podcast about moving the art of music forward in the 21st century.

Visitors to the Blacksburg campus Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. will need to display a parking permit, utilize the ParkMobile apppay the daily charge for a pass, or pay for parking using an hourly meter. A range of parking options can be found here.

All campus parking, including along Alumni Mall, requires a parking permit from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., unless otherwise noted by signage.
